I read some lovely words recently and today want to share them with you. They were:

Start your day with L.I.F.E

LAUGH – Do something that makes you feel positive

INTENTIONS – Set a focus for the day and give it direction

FUEL – Get a healthy nutritious meal in your body to give you energy to be your best

EXERCISE – Do at least 30 mins of training in the morning to awaken your body and keep you strong and healthy

What a fabulous approach to incorporate into your life EVERYDAY. It’s easy to remember and will be like chicken soup for the soul day in day out if incorporated into our daily routine.

This morning my L.I.F.E is going as follows:

LAUGH – I had several giggles this am on my Wednesday morning rambles with Anja, particularly at her excitement at running through the sprinklers in Emirates Golf Club. Simple pleasures that take us back to childhood can’t help but make you laugh out loud and feel the love.

INTENTIONS – my focus for today sits beside me now (to my left) in the form of my To Do list which I write every night. The fact that I am already sidetracked with motivational chat with Monsieur Fabrice Laborie (an awesome runner and all round awesome guy) is by the by!

FUEL – to my right, I have a large steaming bowl of porridge …. the best fuel to start the day full of yummy oats and enough slow-releasing energy to keep even me going for a few hours. And being a good Scottish girl, I couldn’t imagine starting my day with anything else.

EXERCISE – now that the temperatures are getting hotter, my alarm is calling me earlier. I rose at 5am and had an enjoyable solo run to the Marina before meeting Anja for our weekly plod in Emirates Hills … a run I always look forward to and one that never fails to please.

So I’ll now get on with my day … injected with L.I.F.E and ready to treat it like it’s my last.
